H5P Interactivity & Accessibility: (1 Hour) Do your students make the most of the video resources you assign...How can you build a more engaging, interactive student learning experience…What tools help ensure ADA accessibility in online course materials.
Get answers to these questions and more in this hands-on faculty development workshop. Tour H5P, experiment with different content, and learn how to incorporate interactive video, student self-assessments, learning games into Joule or Moodle.
Your Course Introduction Video (working session): (1.5 Hours) Get a quick recap of what’s needed for an effective course introduction video. Review best practices, then polish your script, practice your script, and record your 3-5 minute video. This is a hands-on session, so come ready to work. Faculty participants leave this session with a completed video to share or embed in their Joule or Moodle courses.
Effective Educational Video: (1.5 Hours) Video has become an important part of higher education. It is integrated as part of traditional courses, serves as a cornerstone of many blended and fully online courses. Creating effective educational video need not be difficult. This informational workshop gives you the tools to create engaging educational video for your students. You will plan and outline an introduction video that you can use to enhance the learning process.
Multimedia Studio Drop-In Sessions: The new NDMU Multimedia Studio is here! These one-on-one introductory sessions occur in 30-minute blocks, on the half hour. You will get an introduction to using the studio, tour the equipment and software, and pick up tips and tricks to create effective multimedia for teaching and learning.

- Note: Attendees are seen on a one-on-one basis. If you arrive during an in-progress session, please have a seat, you'll be next. To use the studio you must complete either the online certification course and assessment, or attend an in-person training and complete the online assessment.
